DIY Starbucks Frappuccino for $0.32. Found on Squawkbox here. Go to Squawkbox to see how it’s made in the blender, the economics of the coffee cost and also helpful reader comments for substitutions.

Starbucks Frappuccino ingredients: makes 2.5 cups (590 mL)
1 cup double-strength Starbucks coffee OR 3/4 cup fresh espresso (cold)
3/4 cup milk (low fat, 2%, whole or whatever)
3 tablespoons granulated sugar (or to taste)
2 cups ice
Secret ingredient: Pinch of xanthan gum OR 1 teaspoon dry pectin (keeps Frapp from separating)

Ok so I tried this (I’m drinking my frappucino as I write this haha) and this is what I changed:
- I didn’t use the xanthan gum, not quite the same result -it separated- but stil awesome flavour.- I used chocolate instead of cofee -I actually don’t like cofee!-, I just dissolved some cocoa (1 tbsp.) in hot water (3/4 cup).- Don’t drink it with a straw if you didn’t use the xantham gum! You’ll end up with a bunch of ice at the bottom of your mug hahaha
